System Administration IV (U.S. Citizen)
NOTE: This position is for our forthcoming (expected March/April 2025) long-term federal project in San Antonio TX. The position requires candidate to be on-site. Please review the requirements carefully.
Daily Responsibilities
- Deploy, sustain and troubleshoot new or existing server operating systems and related infrastructure software and hardware.
- Administer day-to-day sustainment, integrity, security and availability of infrastructure platforms.
- Act as on-site lead for contractors (timekeeping, reports, etc.)
- Perform daily system backups, performance monitoring, capacity analysis, and maintain security posture of infrastructure systems.
- Create standard operating procedures, maintenance guides, and knowledge base articles to ensure proper documentation is established for the operational upkeep of the infrastructure platforms.
- Perform infrastructure platform maintenance upgrades to ensure a proper security and operational posture is maintained.
- Assist architecture and engineering with evaluation, making recommendations and testing of infrastructure hardware and software products.
Requirements
- Must of a U.S. Citizen (no dual status), as mandated by the government client.
- Must be local to the San Antonio TX area and be on-site daily (no convenience travel).
- Must have at a minimum an active public trust investigation, and able to obtain and hold a secret clearance.
- Must have a CompTIA Security+ certification.
- Must have a Microsoft Window Service 2022 certification (TBD – may be waived by government).
- 10+ years of demonstrated experience in the above referenced responsibilities in a critical communications systems environment, preferably DoD.
- 5+ years of experience in military production systems.
- 5+ years in a hospital network (100+ beds).
- ACAS experience.
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience may be substituted for a 4-year degree.
