Network Engineer IV (U.S. Citizen)

NOTE: This position is for our forthcoming (expected March/April 2025) long-term federal project in San Antonio TX.  The position requires candidate to be on-site. Please review the requirements carefully.


Daily Responsibilities

• Design, test, upgrade and integrate new or existing information networks such as LAN, WLAN, WAN, VoIP, intranets, extranets, and other communications networks in accordance with the organization’s business requirements.
• Act as on-site lead for contractors (timekeeping, reports, etc.)
• Document all aspects of the engineering process as it relates to build and configuration, testing, and deployment of networks.
• Coordinate changes such as implementation of new networks, upgrades or version increments to existing networks with network administrators and stakeholders.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard new and existing networks.
• Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning.
• Coordinate with architecture, evaluate new and emerging network technologies, and make recommendations for selection of these products.
• Assist network administrators with complex troubleshooting issues and coordinate vendor engagements to assist in troubleshooting efforts.
• Provide day-to-day operational or administrative duties for deployed networks in lab or production environments.
• Possess and apply expertise on multiple complex work assignments

• Must of a U.S. Citizen (no dual status), as mandated by the government client.
• Must be local to the San Antonio TX area and be on-site daily (no convenience travel).
• Must have at a minimum an active public trust investigation, and able to obtain and hold a secret clearance.
• Must be a Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
• 10+ years of demonstrated experience in the above referenced responsibilities (LAN/WLAN).
• 5+ years in a military network support environment.
• 5+ years in a hospital network (100+ beds).
• 4+ years as a Cisco ISE and experience with wireless network deployment (1300+ WAPs).
• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience may be substituted for a 4-year degree.
